Roll Wrapping 3K Carbon Fiber Weave Tube Wear & Corrosion Resistant
Roll Wrapping 3K Carbon Fiber Weave Tube | Wear & Corrosion Resistant
A Carbon Fiber Weave Tube refers to a tube made from carbon fiber fabric that has been woven into a specific pattern (or "weave") and then bonded with resin, typically via a process like roll-wrapping, filament winding, or pultrusion. These tubes are known for being lightweight, extremely strong, and rigid, making them ideal for various structural and performance-critical applications.
Experience the pinnacle of innovation with our carbon fiber tubes. Expertly designed for superior strength and minimal weight, they are ideal for demanding applications. These tubes boast remarkable durability and stiffness, ensuring long-lasting performance in various environments. Customizable in shape and size, they cater to specific requirements while maintaining eco-friendly standards. Perfect for high-temperature settings, our carbon fiber tubes are the go-to choice for efficiency and reliability.
Features
1. High Tensile Strength: The tensile strength of carbon fiber is 6 to 12 times that of steel, reaching over 3000 MPa.
2. Low Density, Lightweight: The density of carbon fiber is less than one-fourth that of steel.
3. CORROSION RESISTANT: Carbon fiber tubes have very good chemical stability. In the face of corrosive environments, it still maintains very good stability.
4. Thermal stability: Carbon fiber can maintain a low coefficient of linear expansion even when there is a temperature difference, and will not creep easily, which can better ensure tube accuracy.
5. Widely used in the food industry, Uthe AV, the automotive industry, etc.
Common Manufacturing Methods
- Roll-Wrapped: Multiple layers of prepreg fabric wrapped around a mandrel; allows for custom layups and is common for small batch, high-performance tubes.
- Filament Wound: Continuous strands of carbon fiber wound around a mandrel; great for large-scale production.
- Pultruded: Straight fiber strands pulled through resin and a heated die; good for mass-produced tubes with strength in one direction.

Manufacturing Process
The manufacturing process involves several steps:
- Material Selection: High-quality yarns are carefully selected, considering their tensile strength, modulus, and other required properties.
- Prepreg Production: To create prepreg sheets, the selected yarns are impregnated with a thermoset resin, usually epoxy. These prepreg sheets offer precise control over fiber alignment and resin distribution.
- Layup and Curing: The prepreg sheets are cut into specific dimensions and stacked layer by layer in a mold, aligning the fibers according to the desired pattern. The assembly is then cured under heat and pressure, transforming the prepreg into a solid structure.
- Post-processing: Once cured, the tubes undergo various post-processing steps, such as sanding, trimming, and surface treatment, to achieve the desired final dimensions, smoothness, and appearance.
Unique Properties of 3K Carbon Fiber Tubes
3K carbon fiber tubes possess several unique properties that make them highly desirable in various applications:
- High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: The 3K carbon fiber's arrangement of 3,000 filaments in each tow provides exceptional strength while maintaining a lightweight profile. This property is crucial in industries where weight reduction is essential, such as the aerospace and automotive sectors.
- Excellent Stiffness: The aligned fibers provide high stiffness, ensuring minimal deflection under load. This property makes them ideal for applications that require rigidity and stability, such as robotics and industrial equipment.
- Corrosion and Fatigue Resistance: Carbon fiber composites, including 3K carbon fiber tubes, exhibit excellent resistance to corrosion and fatigue, making them suitable for outdoor and demanding environments.
