FKM is a kind of synthetic rubber and fluoropolymer elastomer commonly used in O-rings and
other molded or extruded goods.
FKM fluoroelastomers are categorized under the ASTM D1418 and ISO 1629 designation of FKM.
The fluorine content of the most common FKM grades varies between 66% and 70%. Each of
FKM is available in various types. When selecting the type to be used for a particular application
both manufacturability and performance come into play.
Function of the rubber o ring
O-Rings are used in sanitary pipeline systems for the Auto, Machinery, Food, Dairy, Beverage,
Pharmaceutical and Bio-Tech industries. Rubber Fab offers a full line of AS568 dash numbers,
metric, and specialty o-ring sizes that are manufactured using EPDM, NBR, FKM Fluoroelastomer,
Buna-N, PTFE, Silicone and so on.
The o-rings used in cylinder, pump, railcars, truck, washing machine, instrument and meter, mine
equipment, pipeline, household appliances, automobile, steamboat, industrial electrical equipment,
building door& window, construction machinery, construction bridges and tunnel.
Operating Temperature: about -20°C~+250°C.
Application: mainly used in manufacturing and automobile so as to electrolic aspects with regard to all
kinds of heat-resistant and water-assistant products, such as rubber hoses and dustproof washer seals, etc.
