Magnesium Ribbon Anode are used in a variety of applications. They provide a very simple ,cost effective, maintenance-free method of corrosion control for buried or immersed metals such as iron, steel, aluminium ,copper, etc. It is especially useful for unattended applications. It can also be used as a temporary system prior to the installation of an impressed current system and as a method of providing AC mitigation.
Extruded magnesium anode ribbon is a flexible anode materials generally used in high resistivity water or soil. Due to the ribbon's greater surface area to weight ration, magnesium ribbon can provide higher current outputs when compared to other magnesium anodes.
