Brief Description
Dicyandiamide, abbreviated DICY or DCD, is a dimer of cyanamide and a cyano derivative of guanidine. Chemical formula C2H4N4. White crystal powder. Soluble in water, alcohol, ethylene glycol and dimethylformamide, almost insoluble in ether and benzene. Nonflammable. Stable when dry. Low toxicity, but insoluble in epoxy resin.

Application
It can be used to produce sewage decolorization agent, used as a fertilizer, cellulose nitrate stabilizers, rubber vulcanization accelerators, also used to make plastics, synthetic resins, synthetic varnish, cyanide compound, or a raw material for producing melanin, used for verification of cobalt, nickel, copper and palladium, organic synthesis , nitrocellulose stabilizer, hardener, detergent, vulcanization accelerator, resin synthesis.
