The CA168-M is a new generation of smart electricity meter that integrates high-precision metrology features along with non-wired communication and contractual management methodology. The meter operates in both prepayment and post-prepayment mode. It changes its payment mode upon command from the head-end server. Utility can choose from various contractual billing controls for consumers.
The meter works with a plug-in module for data collection and network communications. This module design enables the utility to select from PLC/RF/GPRS/3G and 4G LTE cellular data networks according to local conditions at low cost. Upgrade and maintenance will also become cost-effective by replacing the modules only instead of the entire meter.
