High-quality flexible glass fiber textile yarn 785tex for fiber optic cables
Glass yarn (Glass yarn with Water Blocking effect) are primarily used as peripheral strength elements in fibre optic cables. This flexible and flat glass yarn is composed from premium quality glass filaments and PU-polymeric resins to enhance the properties and increase its abrasion resistance to heavy duty processes.
Textured Glass Yarn
Textured Glass Yarn is manufactured from high performance 9 micron E-glass filaments. The glass filaments are assembled and textured by passing over high pressure air jet to produce a lofted yarn with outstanding insulation properties.
These yarns are suitable for various types of further processing, such as weaving, braiding, or knitting … etc. E-glass Textured Glass Yarn has an excellent heat resistance. It withstands 550°C. For applications where higher temperature is required we offer Textured Glass Yarn leached with 750°C or 850°C high temperature coating.
In case a requirement for temperature resistance is even higher, we produce Textured Yarn from S glass, Silica or basalt fibres. For special applications, we can also blend Glass Textured Yarn with plastic fibres.

Glass Yarn Armoured Fiber Optic Cable Series are meant for duct applications. Dielectric strength member – Glass Yarn, gives protection to the cable against rodent attacks. Because of their dielectric nature cables can be laid along with high voltage lines inside ducts.
