Glass yarn (Glass yarn with Water Blocking effect) are primarily used as peripheral strength elements in fibre optic cables. This flexible and flat glass yarn is composed from premium quality glass filaments and PU-polymeric resins to enhance the properties and increase its abrasion resistance to heavy duty processes.
Glass Yarn (GLABER) is a form of combined multiple e-glass type single filaments, between 4 to 9 microns depending on yarn count, in a continuous strand with S or Z turns.
Longtai provides better thermal and electrical insulation to get higher stability even under elevated temperatures up to 500°C with high resistant to most acids, oils, fats and solvents.
The glassfiber yarn has high tensile strength, minimal dilation and very low density which are the special features in extremely favourable strength results compared with other materials.
