Polyester Drawn Textured Yarn (commonly known as Polyester DTY) is manufactured by processing Polyester POY. The yarn develops texture through a specialized process involving hot drawing, twisting, thermosetting, and de-twisting, which imparts bulk and stretch properties.

Different heating techniques can be used to customize the yarn for specific applications. DTY is available with varying levels of intermingling:

• Non-Intermingle (NIM): 0-10 knots/meter
• Semi-Intermingle (SIM): 40-50 knots/meter
• High-Intermingle (HIM): 100-120 knots/meter

DTY serves as an excellent alternative to natural yarns and is available in three luster types: Semi-Dull, Full-Dull, and Bright.
