EN 462-1 Wire Type Penetrameter Overview
European Standard EN 462-1 Wire Type Penetrameters replace previous German DIN 54.109 and British BS3971:1980 type 1 Image Quality Indicators. Each indicator features seven parallel wires of varying thickness encapsulated between transparent, flexible PVC sheets with a lead monogram identifying the thickest wire number, material type, and EN symbol.

Identification System
