Processing Guidelines:
- Machining: Should be performed after annealing. Use lower cutting speeds and heavier feed rates compared to standard austenitic stainless steels to overcome the material's high work-hardening rate.
- Surface Cleaning: Adherent oxides and weld slag must be removed using a fine-grain sanding belt or grinding wheel.
- Forging: The final grain size is directly related to the degree of deformation and the final forging temperature.
