0.7mm Polyurethane PU Coated Fiberglass Cloth For Welding Sparks Protection

Polyurethane(PU) coated fiberglass fabric are made from woven e-glass fiberglass fabric which is coated with white polyurethane coating on both sides. Mass per unit of this PU coated glass fabric is 700g/m2. Base cloth is satin weave 666 fiberglass fabric. It is 600g/m2 and 0.6mm thick. When coated with 50g/m2 PU coating each side, totally weight per unit can be 700gsm, and thickness will be 0.7mm.

One special feature of PU coated fiber glass fabric is, usually common coated fiberglass fabric like silicone coated fabric can be used below 260℃. While PU coating is able to resisting instantaneous temperature up to 1100 degree Celsius. So it is very suitable for welding sparks protection, good for fire/welding blanket/curtain. Coated fiberglass fabric also have good properties like anti chemical corrosion, high strength, non itchy, varied coating colors.

Glass fibers/ fiberglass are also available in blended and coated options. Blended fibers are manufactured from a mixture of two or more different kinds of fibers. However coated fiberglass products can be filled or sized glass fibers.

Our fiberglass fabrics are woven by high quality e-glass fiber glass yarns. Then they are sized with an epoxy and polyester compatible finish to enhance wet-out, unless otherwise noted.

8HS Satin Weave:

The eight harness satin is similar to the four harness satin except that one filling yarn floats over seven warp yarns and under one. This is a very pliable weave and is used for forming over curved surfaces.

666 fiberglass fabric is a heavy duty base cloth. It is usually used for fire blanket. When coatded with PU coating, because PU coating can resist 1100℃ for a short time, this PU coated 666 fabric is very suitable for fire blanket and welding blanket. Especially for sparks protection.
