800℃ Fire Resistant 0.7mm High Silica Glass Fiber Cloth Satin 8HS Weave
800℃ Fire Resistant 0.7mm High Silica Glass Fiber Cloth Satin 8HS Weave
Fiberglass high silica cloth is a kind of high temperature resistant inorganic fibre fabric with the content of silica (SiO2) which is more than 96%. The softening point of this fabric is close to 1700℃. It can be used for a long time in 1100℃, can work under the condition of 1450℃ for 10 minutes, in 1700℃ can work 15 seconds remained intact state. It is an ideal replacement for asbestos product used for thermal insulation and heat protection. It will not burn, rot, mildew or deteriorate and resist most acids.
High silica cloth is used in many applications, such as welding/cutting protection, molten metal splash protection, heat and flame shielding and more. It is also be used for the rocket, the missile, thermal insulation of spacecraft and high temperature-resistant insulation materials.
Structure of Unionfull's high silica cloth is satin weave. And Satin contains 2 types:
- The four harness satin weave is more pliable than the plain weave and is easier to conform to curved surfaces typical in reinforced plastics. In this weave pattern there is a three-by-one interfacing where a filling yarn floats over three warp yarns and under one.
- The eight harness satin is similar to the four harness satin except that one filling yarn floats over seven warp yarns and under one. This is a very pliable weave and is used for forming over curved surfaces.
