6oz Surfboard Fiberglass Fabric / 0.2mm Twill Weave Glass Fiber Cloth
6oz surfboard fiberglass fabrics are woven from e-glass glass fiber filaments yarns. Usually there are two kinds of fiberglass cloth which are used as surfboard fiberglass cloth, E-glass or S-glass fabric. S-glass is very high tensile strength, about 50% higher than E-glass fabric, meanwhile it is 25% stiffer in flex. S-glass cloth has higher physical strength but of course it is more expensive than common e-glass fiber fabric. Using S-glass fiber glass fabric reduces heel dings and prolongs the life of the surfboard. However, E-glass fabric is the most common used fiber glass cloth and it is always produced in large quantities. It is a ideal high strength and economical materials.
