1050gsm silicone coated fiberglass fabric is basic 850g e-glass fiberglass fabric coated with grey silicone coating on two sides (100/100). Total weight of silicone fiberglass fabric is1050g/m2, 31oz/yd2. Thickness is 1mm. It is a high density and heavy duty thermal insulation materials.
Fiberglass fabric has high tensile strength and great fire resistance. Silicone coating adds electrical insulation and abrasion resistance to fiberglass cloth. The basic fiberglass fabric can withstand heat below 550℃ continuously and silicone coating is capble of resisting heat from -50 to 260℃.
Silicone coated fiberglass fabric is widely used for industrial application. It can be used to produce fire or welding blanket, auto heat insulation, fabric expansion joints and removable insulation jacket (with fiberglass needle mat). Also, it can be used as below heat insulation layer of railway engine, for sparks protection.
