Silica fabric is a fiber glass cloth with higher density and higher heat insulation ability. Its post treatments make its SiO2 contents turn into 80 to 90%. This silica fabric is woven in satin weaving type(also called cross twill or break twill). Mass per unit area is 1150g/m2 and thickness is 1.2mm, width is 91.44cm.
Silica fabric is a high tensile strength, oil resistant, heat resistant material with stable dimension. With the ability to resist instantaneous temperature of 1200℃, it is able to withstand continuous heat below 800℃. For its properties, silica cloth is widely used for heat insulation in industrial fields, such as fire or welding blanket, heat insulation sealing, missile and spacecraft application.
