580gsm 260℃ Silicone Coated Fiberglass Cloth Thermal Insulation Jacket Fabric
Silicone coated fiberglass fabric is a common used material for removable thermal insulation jackets production. 2 layers silicone fiberglass fabric, between them will fiberglass needle mat. So it is a sandwich design. The surface silicone fiberglass material is heat resistance and fire resistance. It is made of basic cloth - 430g/m2 fiberglass fabric woven in satin weave and then coated with grey or red color silicone/rubber on two sides. Coating is usually 40/40, 60/60, 75/75, 100/100. For this 0.45mm, totally weight is 580g/m2 based on the 75/75 coating.
Fiberglass fabric is fire resistant and high tensile strength. And silicone coating improves its abrasion resistance, electrical insulation and chemical resistance. And for its fire resistance, fiberglass fabric is able to resist 550℃ (1022℉), coating can withstand 260℃ (550℉) continuously. But the coating is also electrical insulation, so this fabric is suitable for electrical equipment protection cover.
