Fire blanket fabric is glass fibre fabric coated with different compounds on two sides. For this one - household use 0.43mm white silicone coated fiberglass fabric. The basic fabric is 430gsm and woven by fiberglass continuous filament in satin. With 50gsm silicone on two sides, total weight per square meter is 480g. Fiber glass textile is a abrasion resistan, durable but light weight material. Compared with other materials with same high strength, fibreglass fabric is very flexible so it is easy to fabricate.
What's more, silicone fiberglass fabric is chemical resistant, abrasion resistant and electical insulated. Base glass basic fabric can withstand heat from -50 to 550℃. And silicone coating is able to resist heat below 260℃. This emergency kitchen fire blanket material can be used to cover human body or the fire source.
