Surfboard fiber glass fabrics with high density and tensile strength features is consistently the best in clarity and finish. 4oz and 6oz are two standard weights for surfboard. E-glass fibre cloth is a high-performanced and economical fabric and 4oz fibreglass fabric is usually used for shortboard.
 

Fiber glass fabric is able to keep the board weight down and remain the great strength. 4oz plain weave e-glass fabric is 125g/m2 and 0.12mm thick. Density of 4oz fiberglass fabric is not same in different countries.
