4oz Fiberglass Cloth For Surfboard White 27" 100M E Glass Tear Resistant

With high density and great flexibility, e-glass fiberglass fabrics are ideal material for surfboard building. Especially, 4oz and 6oz are common used specification. Fiberglass cloth is consistently the best in clarity and finish. And its lightweight and strength, tear resistance can improve the strength of board but keep the board weight down. During fiberglassing / laminating of surfboard, several layers of 4oz or 6oz fiberglass fabrics are applied to the surfboard deck. Typically it will be 3 layers of cloth. There are two on the top and one on the bottom of board. 4oz is mainly for shortboard glassing so that the standard width is 70cm/27.5 inches.

Density of the cloth will be a little different between two countries, while the high strength and great quality are the same. Unionfull customers from Australia, Brazil, Mexico and Spain all confirm the quality of 4oz, 6oz and 8oz.
