Silica fabric with 80-90% silicate contents is a high temp material and mainly used for fire welding blanket and other industrial thermal insulation. It is produced when common 550℃ e-glass fiberglass fabric can't meet the heat resistant requirements. Besides, this heavy duty but flexible material is easy to fabricate, which also makes itself a ideal material for fire resistant blanket production.

Area weight of this high strength cloth is 1200g/m2 (about 35oz/sq.yd). Thickness is 1.3mm. Width of silica fabric is 91.44cm (36 inches). Because of its great physical properties and high temperature insulation, silica cloth is widely used for machine, equipment welding protection, flame resistant curtains, removable thermal insulation & electrical insulation and oven / glass kiln heat insulation sealing.
