Basic cloth of this silicone coated fabric is 430gsm e-glass high temperature fiber glass cloth woven in 4H satin (break twill). With 150gsm red color silicone on two sides, the finish fabric is weighed at 580g/m2 (17oz). Thickness is 0.43mm and one standard roll is 1000mm wide and 50 meters long. This silicone coated glass cloth is resistant to moisture, sunlight, mineral lubricating oils, chemical acids, mild alkali etc. Also this fabric has properties like high abrasion resistance and flexibility, which makes it s common used material for fire welding blanket fabrication.
Silicone coating provides better electrical insulation and waterproofing. Base fiber glass fabric can withstand continuous heat 550℃. Silicone coating can resist heat below 260℃. Silicone coated fiberglass fabrics are mainly used for electric welding cover, removable insulation jackets, mattress and pad, fire blanket&curtain, smoke screen, pipe anti corrosion, engine exhaust cover etc.
