Basic cloth of 530gsm silicone coated fiberglass fabric is 3732 e-glass 4H satin (break twill) weave fabric. With black color silicone rubber on single side, the finish coated glass fiber fabric is weighed at 530g/m2 (about 15.6oz/sq.yd). Thickness is 0.43mm and standard roll width and length is 1 meter wide and 50 meters. Silicone coated glass fiber cloth is resistant to moisture, sunlight, oil, chemical agents, corrosion etc. Also this coated fiberglass fabric has properties like high tensile strength and durability, which makes it a ideal heat insulation material for fire&welding blanket.
Silicone coating provides great electrical insulation. Basic fiberglass fabric is able to withstand heat below 550℃ continuously. Silicone coating can resist heat under 260℃. Silicone coated fiberglass fabrics are mainly used for electric welding cover, removable insulation jackets, mattress and pad, fire blanket, smoke screen curtain, pipe cover, flexible joints.
