4oz e-glass clear fiber glass cloth is woven in plain weave. It is a light weight, high strength and fire resistant fibre glass cloth. Its flexibility makes it easy to laminated on the surfboard. 4oz, 6oz and 8oz are specification for surfboard glassing. E-glass is an economical surfboard cloth with great tear resistance and stable chemical&physical properties. It can provide better strength, meanwhile still keep it in light weight.
For laminating, sevaral layers of glass fiber fabrics are applied to the surfboard deck. Typically there are 3 layers: two on the top and one on the bottom. Width of 4oz fiberglass cloth roll is 27.5 inches, which is suitable for shortboard laminating. One roll is 100 meters long.
