Light-weight Acrylic coated fiberglass fabric is economical fire welding blanket material. Fiber glass cloth is woven in plain or twill weave. When coated with 100gsm acrylic on two sides, the total weight is 530g/m2. Common width of coated fiberglass cloth is 1 meter and roll length is 50 meters.
Acrylic coating improves heat resistance, oil&moisture resistance, abrasion resistance and electrical insulation to fiber glass fabric. Also, the coated fiberglass fabric is lightweight but flexible and easy to fabricate. So it is always used for fire blanket production. Its work temperature is below 500℉ continuously.
