Compact FM200 Fire System With Automatic Detection For Server Cabinet Protection
FM200 Cabinet Fire Suppression System
Integrated HFC-227ea Gas Fire Extinguishing Solution for Server Racks and Control Cabinets
Product Introduction
The FM200 Cabinet Fire Suppression System is an integrated fire detection and extinguishing unit designed specifically for enclosed cabinets and equipment racks. The system uses HFC-227ea (FM200) clean agent, a highly effective gas fire suppression agent with both chemical and physical extinguishing properties.
HFC-227ea is colorless, odorless, low-toxic, non-conductive, and leaves no residue after discharge. It does not damage sensitive electronic equipment or valuable assets. The agent can effectively suppress Class B, Class C, and electrical fires at relatively low concentrations, making it ideal for protecting critical electronic infrastructure.
This cabinet fire suppression device integrates fire detection and fire extinguishing functions in one compact unit, eliminating the need for traditional fire detection systems composed of smoke detectors, temperature sensors, and fire control panels. The system is specifically designed for cabinet installation, saving valuable space while ensuring reliable fire protection.

Product Structure
The FM200 cabinet fire suppression system is composed of the following key components:
-
Gas extinguishing agent cylinder
-
Pipelines and discharge nozzles
-
Protective casing
-
Pressure indicator
-
Fire detection device (temperature-sensitive glass bulb or fire detection tube)
-
Signal feedback device
All components are integrated into a compact cabinet-mounted structure for easy installation and maintenance.
Working Principle
The cabinet HFC-227ea fire suppression system uses two independent fire detection activation methods:
Temperature-Sensitive Glass Bulb Activation
When the ambient temperature inside the protected cabinet reaches the preset activation temperature (68°C standard or customized), the glass bulb bursts automatically. This instantly opens the extinguishing agent release pipeline, allowing the FM200 agent to discharge through the nozzle and quickly suppress the fire while cooling the protected area.
Fire Detection Tube Activation
The system can also use a fire detection tube as a fire sensing device. When the detection tube senses a flame or heat source (160°C ±10°C), the gas inside the tube rapidly expands and bursts at the point of highest temperature. This triggers the release mechanism and discharges the extinguishing agent directly toward the fire source, achieving rapid point-to-point fire suppression.
This dual detection method ensures fast response and accurate fire extinguishing within cabinet environments.
Applications
The FM200 cabinet fire suppression unit is widely used in environments where high-value electronic equipment is installed in enclosed cabinets, including:
-
IT server racks and computer cabinets
-
Data centers and server rooms
-
Telecommunications and communication equipment cabinets
-
Banking equipment control cabinets
-
Power distribution cabinets
-
Industrial automation control cabinets
-
Mechanical equipment control panels
It is particularly suitable for protecting high-density equipment cabinets where traditional fire systems are difficult to install.
Product Features
Integrated Fire Protection Design
The system combines fire detection and extinguishing in one compact unit, providing independent cabinet-level protection.
Space-Saving Installation
Designed specifically for cabinet environments, the unit requires minimal installation space and does not interfere with cabinet components.
No Power Supply Required
The system operates automatically without external power, improving reliability and simplifying maintenance.
Fast and Accurate Fire Suppression
The fire detection tube and glass bulb are installed directly inside the cabinet, enabling rapid fire detection and immediate agent discharge.
Easy Installation and Maintenance
Drawer-type cabinet installation allows flexible mounting and convenient inspection or replacement.
Installation and Maintenance
The cabinet FM200 fire suppression system adopts a drawer-type installation design. The device can be installed inside the cabinet using built-in rails or mounting brackets.
The fire detection tube should be arranged in an S-shaped pattern inside the cabinet to maximize fire detection coverage in high-risk areas.
Routine maintenance includes:
-
Weekly inspection of pressure gauge status
-
Quarterly inspection of system components
-
Annual inspection of extinguishing agent quantity and pressure
Proper maintenance ensures reliable long-term operation.
Competitive Advantages
Compared with traditional room-level gas fire suppression systems, the FM200 cabinet fire suppression system offers several advantages:
Easier Installation
Traditional gas systems require extensive piping networks and dedicated cylinder rooms, while cabinet units can be installed directly inside equipment racks.
Faster Fire Response
The detection tube and glass bulb are placed directly inside the cabinet, enabling immediate fire detection and point-to-point suppression.
Lower Cost
The system requires a smaller amount of extinguishing agent, reducing both equipment and installation costs.
Higher Safety
The extinguishing agent is discharged only inside the cabinet space, minimizing impact on personnel and surrounding environments.
Simplified Maintenance
The system operates without electrical components or external power supply, reducing maintenance complexity.
