Fire Extinguishing Agent Cylinder Set
1) Purpose
The cylinder set is designed to store HFC-227ea (FM200) fire extinguishing agent. It provides multiple essential functions including agent sealing, controlled release, refilling, overpressure relief, and pressure indication.
2) Structure
The cylinder set consists of a container valve, a siphon tube, and a storage container.
-
Storage Container: A refillable, welded steel cylinder finished with red epoxy coating for corrosion resistance.
-
Container Valve: Comprises a valve body, actuating device, piston, pressure indicator, and pressure relief device. Once assembled with the siphon tube, the container valve is installed on the cylinder opening. It can be activated either pneumatically (via nitrogen pilot pressure) or manually to release the extinguishing agent.
3) Main Technical Parameters
| Model specifications | Storage pressure |
Volume (L) |
Container Valve Model |
Nominal diameter (mm) |
Equivalent length (m) |
Outer diameter (mm) |

Net weight (Kg) |
| QMP70/5.6 | 5.6MPa | 70 | QRF32/8 | 32 | 6 | 267 | 1560 | 86 |
| QMP90/5.6 | 5.6MPa | 90 | QRF32/8 | 32 | 6 | 325 | 1440 | 130 |
| QMP120/5.6 | 5.6MPa | 120 | QRF32/8 | 32 | 6 | 325 | 1600 | 139 |
4) Installation Instructions
-
Positioning: The installation location must comply with the design drawings. Cylinders should be arranged in the specified order by their identification numbers. The height difference between cylinders should not exceed 20 mm. A minimum clearance of 1.0 m should be maintained between the operating side and any wall or between adjacent operating sides.
-
Manual Emergency Operation: In an emergency, remove the safety pin from the actuator, engage the manual handle one by one, and rotate the cam lever to open all container valves and release the extinguishing agent.
5) Maintenance Instructions
Perform a visual inspection on a monthly basis. The cylinder set may continue to be used only if the following conditions are confirmed:
-
No impact deformation or mechanical damage
-
No visible surface rust or corrosion
-
Protective coating remains intact
-
Safety pin and tamper seal are in place and undamaged
6) Important Note
The safety pin on the container valve is specifically designed to lock the cam lever in position. The safety pin must be removed only when manual actuation of the container valve is required. Locking the cam lever does not interfere with normal nitrogen‑pneumatic actuation of the container valve during automatic system operation.
