Product Description
Continuous Casting Machine for Copper, Brass & Bronze
High-efficiency continuous casting system designed for producing copper, brass, and bronze slab plates and sheets with precision and reliability.
Continuous Casting Process
Metal Preparation & Transfer
Molten metal is tapped from furnaces into ladles, where it undergoes treatments including alloying, degassing, and temperature adjustment. The ladle is then positioned on a rotating turret at the casting machine, allowing continuous operation during ladle switching.
Tundish System
Metal flows through refractory shrouds to a holding bath called a tundish, which serves as a buffer reservoir, regulates metal flow to molds, and helps clean the metal.
Mold & Primary Cooling
The metal enters water-cooled copper molds (0.5 to 2 meters depth) where primary cooling solidifies the outer shell. Molds oscillate vertically to prevent sticking, with lubricants trapping slag particles.
Secondary Cooling & Solidification
The strand exits the mold into a spray chamber where water sprays provide secondary cooling. Closely spaced, water-cooled rollers support the strand walls during final solidification.

Finishing Operations
After exiting the spray chamber, the strand passes through straightening rolls, withdrawal rolls, and may include hot rolling stands. Final cutting is performed by mechanical shears or oxyacetylene torches.
