The SFP-10G-BXU1 must always be paired with its counterpart module SFP-10G-BXD1 (or any other compatible TX1330nm/RX1270nm 10km BIDI module) at the opposite end of the link. Since the BXU1 transmits at 1270nm and receives at 1330nm, the remote device must transmit at 1330nm and receive at 1270nm to establish a successful optical handshake.
