Construction & Materials
The insulator fiberglass rod is manufactured from premium materials with aligned strands for maximum tensile strength, containing over 50% glass fibers in cross section.
End fittings are cast steel with hot-dip galvanized surfaces, compliant with IEC and ANSI international standards. The insulator features tie top configuration with neck dimension 51-4F.
Fittings are crimped directly to the rod using specialized processes that eliminate intermovement requirements and avoid potting compounds or adhesives.
Weathersheds are high-pressure injection molded using silicone rubber housing, providing exceptional mechanical strength, high corona resistance, and low moisture permeability.
The interface between silicone rubber and fiberglass rod is meticulously treated to prevent moisture intrusion and contamination.
