Each surge arrester consists of multiple varistor blocks manufactured using advanced Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) technology. The internal components are secured with tightly wound fiberglass filament impregnated with epoxy resin for maximum durability.

The arrester housing is constructed from a proprietary silicone alloy blend, providing exceptional insulation performance. The silicone rubber sheds are grey in color and have been rigorously tested for tracking resistance, contamination resistance, and aging performance.

HIVOLT surge arresters are compatible with all standard mounting arms and brackets. Each unit includes necessary fasteners, isolators, and terminal attachments. A specially designed glass-filled polyester insulating bracket with integrated disconnector provides flexible mounting options including cross arm or transformer bracket configurations.
