Carbonless copy paper consists of bond papers that are chemically coated to react when pressure is applied from a pen, printer, or other source. The coating process involves:

• CB (Coated Back): Contains microcapsules with color-forming dyes that rupture under pressure
• CFB (Coated Front and Back): Absorbs the released dyes from the previous sheet
• CF (Coated Front): The final sheet in the sequence

When pressure is applied, the capsules rupture, releasing dyes that are absorbed by subsequent sheets, creating multiple copies without the need for carbon paper.
