Definition of CAST COATED:

A method of coating paper; a liquid coating is deposited onto the web, which is then pressed against the surface of a heated, highly polished metal cylinder or drum (usually made of chromium). The heat and pressure cause the coating to dry and, as it hardens and sets against the cylinder, it takes on a highly smooth and glossy finish; cast coated paper has the highest gloss finish of all coated papers. It is also a thicker paper and has excellent ink absorbency.

CAST COATED PAPER:

The Cast Coated Paper is generally white with a whiteness of more than 85%. It has extremely high smoothness, gloss and high stiffness.
The process of producing cast coated is different from ordinary coated paper. The paper coated with the coating is first passed through a drying oven and passed through a large-diameter surface like a mirror-plated chrome dryer in a semi-dry state. The coating is in the drying process. The surface of the cylinder is duplicated to form a smooth surface.
