The RS-8233 Plastic Testing Equipment is designed for heating distortion resistance testing of plastic materials. This precision instrument measures deformation temperature under controlled heating conditions and can also perform flexural strength tests at room temperature.
Testing Applications
  • Plastic heating deformation resistance testing
  • Material flexural strength testing under normal conditions (23°C for hard plastics)
  • Determination of deformation temperature for plastic and hard rubber materials
Testing Methodology
Samples are placed on two supporting points within the testing machine. The heating rod applies force while temperature increases at 2°C/min. When the sample center sinks to a specific position (0.26mm for plastic, 0.25-0.33mm for hard rubber), the recorded temperature represents the deformation temperature.
