Product Description
This Mini SAS HD to U.2 NVMe connector cable is designed for linking a backplane or HBA using an SFF-8643 interface to a 2.5" U.2 / SFF-8639 solid-state drive. High-speed twinax wire cable and precision-machined copper terminals provide controlled impedance and low insertion loss, allowing stable transmission of high-frequency differential signals for SAS or PCIe NVMe storage.
The entire assembly is wrapped with a rugged black braided sleeve that protects the electrical cable bundle against abrasion while keeping routing neat inside dense server and workstation chassis. Positive-latch connectors on both ends ensure secure mating with host and drive PCBs even under vibration, making this harness suitable for 24/7 data-center environments. OEM and ODM customization are supported, including special pin-outs, different cable lengths, custom labels, or integration with other power and data connectors in one harness for complex storage modules.

Precautions
Verify that the host port is SFF-8643 and the drive uses a standard U.2 / SFF-8639 interface; do not force the connector into incompatible sockets to avoid bending pins.
Observe the recommended bend radius of the twinax wire cable to maintain impedance control and prevent degradation of high-speed signal transmission.
Ensure the system’s power budget supports the connected U.2 SSD; this harness only routes power rails provided by the host and does not include its own regulation.
Route the assembly away from sharp metal edges and strong EMI sources; secure it with clips or ties so that stress is not transferred to the board-mounted terminals.
