Product Description
This SATA 7-pin PCB connector is designed for reliable high-speed signal and power transmission in compact electronic devices. The connector uses a 1.27 mm pitch contact layout, allowing a small footprint while maintaining sufficient creepage and clearance distance for stable operation.
Precision-stamped copper-alloy terminals with gold-over-nickel plating on the mating area provide low contact resistance and long-term corrosion resistance, while tin-plated solder tails ensure consistent solderability on standard PCB processes. The housing is molded from high-temperature, flame-retardant thermoplastic, suitable for reflow or wave soldering and repeated thermal cycles.
Positioning posts and a robust housing structure improve retention strength on the PCB and resist mechanical shock and vibration in demanding applications such as industrial equipment and servers.

Precautions
Ensure the PCB footprint and hole dimensions strictly follow the recommended layout to guarantee proper coplanarity, solder fill and mechanical retention.
Avoid exceeding the rated current and voltage per contact; distribute power lines across multiple pins if high current is required.
Keep connector and PCB mating areas free from flux residue, dust and other contaminants to maintain low contact resistance and signal integrity.
During insertion and extraction, apply force along the mating direction only; avoid twisting or prying to prevent damage to terminals or housing.
When used in high-vibration environments (automotive, industrial machinery), consider additional mechanical fixing or reinforcement and verify with reliability testing.
Store connectors in a dry, clean environment and follow standard ESD and moisture-sensitive handling procedures prior to assembly.
