Product Description
This assembly combines SATA data and power into a compact connector cable designed for 2.5" and 3.5" HDD or SSD installation. One side uses a 7+15-pin SATA connector that mates directly with the drive. The opposite side provides a latched 7-pin SATA plug for reliable data connection and a 4-pin wire-to-board power connector that interfaces with a PSU harness or small PCB power header.
The flat SATA ribbon ensures controlled impedance and low skew for high-speed 6 Gb/s transmission, while the separate copper power leads deliver stable 5 V and 12 V with low voltage drop. The latch on the data connector prevents accidental unplugging during vibration or maintenance, making this harness suitable for server, industrial and embedded storage systems. Cable length, wire gauge and connector styles can be tailored to match your chassis layout and PCB interface.

Applications
Internal wiring of servers, NAS systems, RAID enclosures, and DVR/NVR recorders using SATA drives.
Desktop or industrial PCs where power is supplied through a 4-pin header instead of a standard SATA power cable.
OEM storage modules and backplanes requiring pre-terminated harnesses for quick installation and consistent quality.
Embedded systems and instruments that integrate 2.5"/3.5" SATA HDDs or SSDs as removable or fixed storage.
Precautions
Confirm the pin assignment of the 4-pin connector and the mating header before installation to avoid reverse polarity or miswiring.
Ensure the total current of the drive does not exceed the rating of the power wires, connector contacts, or PSU rail.
Avoid excessive bending, twisting, or compression of the red SATA ribbon and twisted power bundle, especially near the connector overmolds.
Keep SATA data lines away from strong electromagnetic noise sources such as motor or high-current power cables.
Check that all connectors are fully inserted and latched; periodically inspect the harness for signs of abrasion, cracking, or overheating in long-term high-duty applications.
