RMUF

The RMUF board is a modulation and demodulation board. It provides the following functions:

 

• Converts uplink baseband signals into IF signals through coding and modulation, and sends the IF signals to the ODU. The uplink baseband signals are transmitted from the main control unit to the RMUF board through the backplane.
• Decodes and demodulates downlink IF signals and sends the demodulated signals to the main control unit. The downlink IF signals are transmitted from the ODU to the RMUF board through an IF cable.
• Provides a communication channel between the IDU and the ODU, and manages and monitors the ODU.
• Provides –48 V power to the ODU.
• Supports 1 + 1 protection.
• Supports XPIC.
• Supports TDM and GE services.
• Supports system clock synchronization.
• Supports ACM (QPSK/16QAM/32QAM/64QAM/128QAM/256QAM/512QAM/1024QAM/1024QAM light).
