The GYXTW 24b1 Single Mode 24-Core Direct Burial Central Loose Tube Outdoor Optical Fiber Cable is a central loose tube armored outdoor fiber optic cable designed for reliable performance in demanding environments. It supports 2 to 24 fiber cores and is suitable for overhead, duct, and direct burial installations.
The loose tube is covered with a water-blocking compound and corrugated steel tape, while the outer sheath is made of high-quality black polyethylene (PE). This construction provides full-section water blocking, a compact structure, a small outer diameter, light weight, and excellent mechanical properties with low loss and low dispersion.
The GYXTW cable is suitable for overhead and duct installations in digital transmission communication systems.
The GYXTW cable is composed of the following key components:
- Strength Member: Two parallel high-strength steel wires provide mechanical support and prevent the cable from stretching under tension.
- Loose Tubes: Placed around the central strength member, each containing one or more optical fibers. These tubes protect the fibers from moisture, physical damage, and other environmental factors.
- Optical Fiber: The core component of the cable, transmitting data in the form of light signals.
- Filling Compound: A gel-like substance fills the space between the loose tubes and the central strength member, cushioning the fibers against physical stress and protecting them from moisture and water penetration.
- Steel Tape: Two layers of corrugated steel tape are wrapped around the cable, providing additional mechanical protection against crushing, impact, and other external forces.
- Outer Sheath: The entire cable is covered with a polyethylene (PE) outer sheath, offering resistance against abrasion, weathering, and other environmental factors.
