Our armored fiber optic patch cable utilizes flexible stainless steel tube armor inside the outer jacket to protect the fiber glass core. It maintains all standard patch cord features while providing significantly enhanced strength and durability. The cable withstands heavy impact and is specifically designed to be rodent-resistant.
A fiber optic patch cable is terminated at both ends with connectors for rapid connection to CATV, optical switches, and other telecommunication equipment. The robust protective layer connects optical transmitters, receivers, and terminal boxes effectively.
Multi-mode Fiber: Typically orange or grey with cream or black connectors, shorter transmission distance, ideal for short-range data and audio/video applications in LANs.
Single-mode Fiber: Generally yellow with blue connectors, longer transmission distance, suitable for long-distance, higher bandwidth applications by Telcos, CATV companies, and educational institutions.
