Product Description
SC fiber optic pigtails are available in single mode UPC APC and multimode PC configurations. The cable configuration can be simplex, duplex, or multi-fiber fan out/break out. Available cable diameters include 0.9mm, 2.0mm, 3.0mm, and 4.2mm.
We also supply SC fiber optic patch cables with various cable diameters, lengths, and connector types to meet diverse networking requirements.
About Fiber Optic Patch Cables
A fiber optic patch cable is a fiber optic cable capped at either end with connectors that allow rapid and convenient connection to CATV, optical switches, or other telecommunications equipment. The thick protective layer is designed to connect optical transmitters, receivers, and terminal boxes.
About Single Mode Cables
Single Mode fiber optic cable features a small diametral core that allows only one mode of light to propagate. This design reduces light reflections as light passes through the core, lowering attenuation and enabling signals to travel longer distances. Typically used by Telcos, CATV companies, and educational institutions for long-distance, high-bandwidth applications.
About Multi Mode Cables
Multimode fiber optic cable has a large diametral core that allows multiple modes of light to propagate. This increases light reflections, enabling more data transmission but resulting in higher dispersion and attenuation over long distances. Ideal for short-distance data and audio/video applications in LANs.
Multi-mode fibers are described by their core and cladding diameters, typically 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm. Current multi-mode fiber categories include OM1, OM2, OM3, and OM4, each with specific performance characteristics and applications.
