FC fiber optic pigtails are available in single mode UPC, APC, and multimode PC configurations. Available in simplex, duplex, or multi-fiber fan-out/breakout configurations with cable diameters ranging from 0.9mm to 4.2mm. We also supply FC fiber optic patch cables with various diameters, lengths, and connector types.
About Fiber Optic Patch Cables
A fiber optic patch cable is terminated at both ends with connectors for rapid connection to CATV, optical switches, and telecommunications equipment. The robust protective layer enables reliable connections between optical transmitters, receivers, and terminal boxes.
Single Mode vs Multi Mode Fiber
Single Mode Fiber: Features a small diametral core that allows only one mode of light propagation, reducing attenuation and enabling longer distance transmission. Ideal for long-distance, high-bandwidth applications in telecommunications, CATV, and educational institutions.
Multi Mode Fiber: Contains a larger core supporting multiple light modes, enabling higher data capacity over shorter distances. Available in OM1, OM2, OM3, and OM4 classifications with varying performance characteristics.
