96 Core Water-Resistant Stranded Loose Tube Mining Cable Flame Retardant Optical Fiber Cable for Underground Coal Mine
The MGTSV is a specialized, flame-retardant armored fiber optic cable engineered strictly for hazardous underground environments such as coal, gold, and iron ore mines. It is distinctively recognizable by its bright blue outer jacket, signaling industrial mining safety compliance.
The loose tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire — sometimes PE-sheathed for high fiber count cables — is positioned at the center of the core as a metallic strength member. Tubes and fillers are stranded around this strength member into a compact, circular cable core. A PSP (corrugated steel tape) layer is longitudinally applied over the core, which is fully filled with compound to prevent water ingress. The cable is completed with a flame-retardant outer sheath.

- Application scope: primarily for remote communication in coal mines, as well as inter-unit voice, image, and digital signal transmission
- Accurate control of optical fiber spare length ensures excellent tensile and temperature performance.
- Loose tube material combines water resistance with higher strength; tubes are filled with a special compound for critical fiber protection.
- PE sheath offers excellent UV resistance.
