Installing the GF400/215-2 Air Spring on a Lifting Platform

Before installing the GF400/215-2 air spring bellows, ensure that the lifting platform is completely de-energized and securely supported by mechanical struts. This is the most important safety precaution. During installation, first bleed the air from the old bellows, disconnect its air intake line, and remove the center bolt or flange bolts to remove the old bellows. Next, thoroughly clean the upper and lower mounting surfaces to ensure they are free of debris. Then, accurately center the new bellows and place them in position. Manually pre-tighten all bolts. Finally, use a torque wrench to tighten all bolts in a diagonal pattern to the manufacturer's specified torque value. After installation, connect the air line and perform a low-speed inflation test. Use soapy water to check all connections for leaks. Perform several complete lifting and lowering cycles to verify smooth and stable operation, with no unusual distortion or noise.
