About Air Spring
It is use in a wide variety of actuation and vibration isolation.
With time-tested designs incorporating fabric-reinforced or natural rubber flex-member construction and corrosion-protected and retainers, Air Springs provide superior quality and performance.
As an actuator, Air Springs can provide either linear or angular motion.
These air springs offer a favorable stroke-to-compressed-height ratio when compared to air cylinders.
As an isolator, Air Springs are effective in reducing the harmful effects of vibration.
How to Install Pickup Truck Air Springs
Installing air springs, also known as air helper springs, on a pickup truck can provide better towing capabilities and improved load-leveling. Here are the general steps to install air springs on a pickup truck:
- Choose the right air spring kit: There are various aftermarket air spring kits available for different pickup truck models. One popular option is the Air Lift Company's air helper spring kits, which are known for their convenience and adjustability.
- Prepare for installation: Before starting the installation process, gather all the necessary tools and equipment. Make sure you have the air spring kit, an air compressor, mounting brackets, air lines, and fittings.
- Install the air-helper springs: The air-helper springs are typically installed between the rear axle and the frame of the pickup truck. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to properly position and secure the air springs in place.
- Mount and connect the air compressor: The air compressor is responsible for inflating the airbags. Mount the air compressor in a suitable location, such as under the hood or in the bed of the truck. Connect the air compressor to the airbags using the provided air lines and fittings.
- Test and adjust: Once the air springs and air compressor are installed, test the system to ensure proper functionality. Adjust the air pressure in the airbags according to the load you will be carrying or towing.
