Installation of Hino Truck Cab Air Spring
1.Safety Preparation
- Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine. Use a jack or bracket to stabilize the cab to ensure safe operation.
- Disconnect the power supply (such as the negative terminal of the battery) to avoid accidental contact with the circuit.
2.Remove the old air spring
- Release the system air pressure (if there is a manual exhaust valve, exhaust first).
- Remove the connecting air pipe and mark the position of the pipe for restoration.
- Remove the fixing bolts (usually located at the upper and lower ends of the air spring) and carefully remove the old part.
3.Install the new air spring
- Check whether the new part model matches the original vehicle, check the air tightness and appearance without damage.
- Align the air spring to the installation position and fix the bottom bolt first (do not tighten it yet).
- Connect the top bolt, ensure alignment and tighten it step by step (in diagonal order, refer to the maintenance manual for torque).
- Reconnect the air pipe and ensure that the joint is sealed and there is no leakage.
4.System test
- Start the vehicle and inflate the air system to the working pressure.
- Check whether the airbag is evenly inflated without skew or abnormal noise.
- Spray soapy water to check if the air pipe interface is leaking.
- Carry out a test run to verify whether the shock absorption effect and height of the cab are normal.
Notes
Torque requirements: Be sure to tighten the bolts according to the Hino manual standard. Overtightening may damage the components.
Air pipe protection: Avoid bending or squeezing the air pipe to ensure smooth air passage.
Regular inspection: It is recommended to regularly check the aging of the airbag and the stability of air pressure after installation.
