Truck Suspension System 4982N6P01/4982N6 P01 Contitech Rubber Air Spring Iron Piston

The top cover plate has a diameter of 262mm, with two 2XM16X1.5 combination studs, the air hole is M12X1.5, and the center distance between the two studs is 70mm. The bottom piston has a diameter of 176mm, M18X2.0 threaded hole. The extended height is 565mm, the compressed height is 208mm, and the stroke is 357mm. The natural outer diameter is 270mm.

Preventive Maintenance of Air Springs
We should check the following when repairing the car (never try to repair the air spring when it is inflated)

1. Check the outer diameter of the air spring. Check for irregular cracks

2. Check the air pipe. Confirm that the air pipe has no contact with the outer diameter of the air spring.

3. When the air spring is at its maximum outer diameter, check whether the clearance around it is sufficient.

4. Check whether there is any foreign matter accumulated on the outer diameter of the piston

5. The correct suspension height should be maintained.

6. The height valve (height control valve) plays an important role in keeping the entire air spring system working as required. Clean, check or replace it if necessary.

7. Check whether the shock absorber is installed correctly, and check for oil leakage and damage to the end connection parts.

8. Check the tightness of all mounting hardware (nuts, screws)
