When an industrial washing machine is operating, especially during the high-speed spin cycle, it generates enormous, unbalanced centrifugal forces, causing severe vibration. If left uncontrolled, this vibration can:
- Damage the equipment and the building structure.
- Generate loud noise.
- Be transmitted to the floor or ground, impacting other equipment and even the building's safety.
In industrial washing machines, four or more air springs are typically installed between the base and foundation of the washing machine, completely suspending the entire washing tub and drive system.
When the spin cycle starts, the enormous unbalanced forces attempt to rock the washing machine, acting on the air springs.
Air springs absorb and cushion this energy through their own compression and expansion, with only a very small portion of the vibration being transmitted through the soft airbags.
- Adjustability: By varying the inflation pressure, the machine can adapt to varying loads (e.g., varying linen weights), maintaining optimal vibration isolation and leveling.
- Long Life: Compared to metal springs, air springs have a longer fatigue life at the same stroke.
- Excellent performance: It makes it possible to achieve high speed and high dehydration factor of industrial washing machines, thereby greatly improving dehydration efficiency and production capacity.
