Truck Cab Air Spring Installation Flowchart
| Stage | Step | Key Operations/Precautions |
|---|---|---|
| Preparation and Safety | 1. Lifting and fixing cab | [Core Safety] After using a dedicated lift to raise the cab, it must be immediately supported at the load-bearing structure with a sturdy safety bracket. It is strictly forbidden to rely solely on the lift to bear the load. |
| 2. Relieve system pressure | Disconnect the air line connector from the old air bag and release the internal air pressure. | |
| 3. Disconnect | Disconnect the negative battery terminal; if necessary, tag and move any wiring or lines that are in the way. | |
| Dismantle old parts | 4. Locating and disconnecting gas lines | Locate the air spring under the rear of the cab and disconnect its air line. |
| 5. Remove the fixing bolts | Use appropriate tools to remove the upper and lower fixing bolts. If they are rusted, use lubricant and do not use brute force. | |
| 6. Remove old parts and inspect | Remove the old airbag and check whether the mounting bracket and stop block are cracked or damaged. | |
| Install new parts | 7. Check new parts | Confirm that the new air spring is of the correct model and has no visible damage from transportation. |
| 8. Initial positioning | Place the new, uninflated airbag in the installation location. Do not inflate it before securing it. | |
| 9. Connection and fastening | First screw in the new bolts by hand to ensure accurate alignment, and finally use a torque wrench to tighten them according to the value specified in the maintenance manual. | |
| Recovery and testing | 10. Connect the gas line and restore | Connect the air lines securely (make sure you hear a "click") and reassemble all wiring harnesses and components. |
| 11. Remove the bracket and connect the battery | After confirming that all work is completed, remove the safety bracket and connect the negative terminal of the battery. | |
| 12. Startup and leak detection | Start the engine and observe the airbag inflating to the working height. Check all joints for leaks with soapy water. | |
| 13. Functional testing | Take a short test drive to feel whether the cab stability and shock absorption effect have returned to normal. |
