Sizes of Hydraulic cylinder tubes

As one of the leading honed tube suppliers, all honed hydraulic cylinder tubing of our factory is offered in both metric and standard sizes and may be cut to length to meet customers’ requirements.

The size range of our hydraulic cylinder tubes: metric size ID. 32mm – 500mm, wall thickness 4 mm -32 mm. or standard size 1.0″ ID – 20.0″; wall thickness 1/8″ – 1″.

The Length of our hycraulic cylinder tubes mostly is in 5-8 meters, and the max length we can produce is 12000 mm.

Main applications of Hydraulic honed tubing

Honing and SRB (skiving and roller burnishing) cylinder tubes are mostly used as hydraulic cylinder tube, which are widely used for manufacturing and repairing hydraulic cylinders. As hydraulic honed tube usually has very accuracy dimension tolerance and good surface smoothness, so this product is also used in applications where precision dimension or high smooth surface is need.

Honed Tubes are mostly used together with hard chrome plated shafts or chrome plated hollow bar, to make the hydraulic cylinders or pneumatic cylinders. 

1. Chrome plated shafts

Chrome plated shafts are known as chrome plated rods also, this is another main product of our factory, this product is known as hydraulic chrome plated bar sometimes, it is mostly used to manufacture and repair the hydraulic piston rods. Our chrome plated bar is produced from steel round rod by high precise grinding, polishing, and chrome plated to a certain thickness on the external surface, the thickness of chrome plated layer is usually min. 20 microns. The material of the chrome plated bars of our factoy can be carbon steel as CK45, and stainless steel grades 304, 304L, 316, 316L. The available sizes of our chrome plated bar is from diameter 6 mm to 800 mm, we also provide imperial sizes accordingly.

3. Chrome plated hollow bars

Chrome plated bars are known as Chrome plated od tube too, this product has the same function with chrome plated bar, but with much lighter unit weight than that. Using chrome plated hollow bar, the hydraulic cylinder weight can be greatly reduced, so the hydraulic cylinder will be more energy efficient. Our chrome plated tube is produced from seamless hollow bar, by polishing the outside surface and chrome plated to a certain thickness. Our chorme plated tubes can also be honed in inside diameter for manufacturing and repairing telescoping hydraulic cylinders.
