Welded heavy duty gratings are designed to service applications subject to heavy rolling and static loads such as highways, plant floors, loading docks, inlet covers, and airports. Products are available in a wide range of bar sizes and spacings to accommodate conditions ranging from smaller forklift to large truck or aircraft traffic.
The hesly heavy duty gratings are suitable for particularly heavy loads. In the production material is used from 4 mm thickness, which considerably increases the load capacity. Heavy-duty gratings are generally provided with a flat edging. This is just as thick as the supporting rods. For all types of both the supporting and the cross bars can be fitted with anti-slip properties. Antislip version of Heavy Duty Steel Grating
When need slip resistance there are different versions. The anti-slip combination of bearing and cross-bars have an influence on the corresponding class (R10-R13).

Load Capacity of Heavy Duty Steel Grating
| Important ! The charge-capacity at the grating is determined by the height and thickness of the bearing-bars (=supporting-bars). The bearing-bar must always be supported. Therefore, the bearing-bar is in all our documents = first dimension. Cross-bars and bordering off the grid contribute to the stability. |

Materials & Finishes
Heavy duty gratings are manufactured in carbon steel and 300 series stainless steels. Carbon steel products are available bare (no finish), painted with manufacturers standard paint, or hot dip galvanized. Stainless steel products are available mill finish, commercially cleaned or electro-polished.
